Selling gold in Joondalup

How we work out an offer

Three things set the gold value of a piece:

1. Purity. The stamp (375, 585, 750, 916) tells us how much of the metal is pure gold. Our guide to gold stamps explains each one.
2. Weight. The more the piece weighs, the more gold it holds.
3. The day's gold price. Gold is priced daily, so the value moves with the market.

Diamonds, other gemstones and well-known makers can add value above the gold. We look at all of it and tell you what we see.

No stamp? Foreign stamp?

Many genuine pieces have no mark, especially older, handmade or resized ones, and stamps can be wrong. We test unmarked and foreign gold and explain the result before any offer is made.

1. We look at each piece and check the stamps.
2. We test the gold and weigh it.
3. We explain what we found and make an offer.
4. If you accept, we record your ID as the law requires and pay by bank transfer.

Do I need an appointment to sell gold?

No. Come in during opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm.

Do you pay cash for gold?

No. We pay by bank transfer only.
